  5. This is a sample Timetable of what a Prep day could look like.

Policy Information • MBBC is a nut free College • Student Diary – to be sent every day • Uniforms – Formal uniform is checked shirt Sports uniform is blue and white shirt, blue shorts (Tuesday and Thursday – Term 1) House shirts worn on special sporting and interhouse events • Arrivals – Doors open 8.15am Boys who are late (after the roll has been marked) will need to be signed in at Admin • Visitors – All visitors including parents need to sign in at Admin. • For any other information please refer to the handbook for policies.

  7. Parent/Teacher Interviews • Parent teacher interviews are being held in Term 1 on Tuesday 24 and Thursday 26 March. • Informal interview to keep up to date with your son’s progress during the first Term of Prep. • Rubrics will be presented to show his phase of learning at that time.

  8. Social & personal learning Social learning Children sustain relationships by: • acknowledging and negotiating rights, roles and responsibilities in a range of contexts • cooperating with others in social situations. Rubrics

  9. Assessment and Reporting • Rubrics give a point in time reference of your son’s progress • The expectation for the end of the year will be the Making Connections phase of the rubrics • Prep reports will be completed in September and handed out at the Parent Teacher interview.

Pastoral Care Behaviour Management • Refer to Parent Handbook for Behaviour Management outline • Blue stickers are a communication tool • Signatures are given in front of diary for exemplary behaviour (10 signatures = Reward Card on Assembly) You Can Do It Program (YCDI) Social Skills Program to develop 5 keys to success • MIRROR – attributes of an MBBC boy

  12. Home Readers Home Readers will be sent home with boys throughout Term 1 and is an optional activity. Calendar of Events – Term 1 Grandparents’ Day – 6 March P-1 Camp (optional) 21 March at Thunderbird Park, Mt. Tambourine Easter Chapel Service (compulsory for all boys) Thursday 2 April

  13. Newsletters Please read ALL Newsletters from the College. Prep is included under the Primary umbrella. Newsletters are now sent via email. Naming Items PLEASE name all of your son’s belongings. Including socks and shoes. Support-a-Reader Program Volunteers are needed to assist in the Supporter Reader Program. Please place your name on the form if you are interested. Parent Roster Roster will be placed on the front table each week. Please fill in your name. You don’t have to stay for the whole day. You choose the assistance you wish to give (resource making or working with the boys). If any parent has special skills please let us know.

  14. Parent Reps – each class will have a parent rep on a voluntary basis to assist with any social events and liaison between parents. • Questions??
