  5. The War that Involves Every One of Us Revelation 13:7 tells about Satan and all the forces of evil whose purpose is “to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and power was given over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.” Ephesians 6:12 (NLT) “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” 1 Peter 5:8 (NLT) “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”

  6. The Weapon the Enemy Uses to Destroy Us

  7. The Weapon the Enemy Uses to Destroy Us 1 Peter 2:11 “Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.” James 4:1 “What is the source of the wars and fightings among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members?” (NLT) “What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you?”

  8. The Weapon the Enemy Uses to Destroy Us What weapon does Satan use to win the battle for your soul?

  9. The Weapon the Enemy Uses to Destroy Us What weapon does Satan use to win the battle for your soul? SIN! Your fleshly lusts, your evil desires...

  12. The Weapon the Enemy Uses to Destroy Us What weapon does Satan use to win the battle for your soul? SIN! Your fleshly lusts, your evil desires... Why does he choose to use sin? Because he knows it is the ultimate weapon to destroy us. Not only does it afflict us in the most awful ways, sin is also the most powerful and the most effective means ever available to bring about Satan’s victory and our demise.

  13. The Top Ten Worst Diseases “The Black Death, or The Black Plague, was one of the most deadly pandemics in human history. It probably began in Central Asia and spread to Europe by the late 1340s. The total number of deaths worldwide from the pandemic is estimated at 75 million people; there were an estimated 20 to 30 million deaths in Europe alone. The Black Death is estimated to have killed between one-third and two-thirds of Europe’s population.”

  20. Satan Uses Sin in the War to Defeat Us John 8:32-34 “And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”  They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, ‘You will become free’?” Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin.”

  21. Satan Uses Sin in the War to Defeat Us John 8:32-34 “And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”  They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, ‘You will become free’?” Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin.” If you give in to sin, it will not be long before you have become a slave to sin. Sin can enslave you and take control over every aspect of your life.

  22. Satan Uses Sin in the War to Defeat Us Romans 6:16 “Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?  Romans 6:20-21 “For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.  Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death.” Romans 7:14-23 (even Paul struggled with sin)

  24. Sin Will Enslave You and Destroy You! 2 Peter 2:19 Like Satan, there were evil men who were “promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved.” James 1:14-15 “But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.”

  25. Sin Will Enslave You and Destroy You!

  26. Sin Will Enslave You and Destroy You! Romans 5:12 “By one man (Adam), sin entered into the world, and death by sin. And so death passed on to all men, because all have sinned.” Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death.” Galatians 5:7-8 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption.” (NLT) “Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature.”

  33. Jesus Can Fix Our Terrible Sin Problem! He can set us free from the power that sin can have in our lives, and He can set us free from the punishment of death that we deserve because of our sin.

  34. Hebrews 2:14-15 “Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.” 1 Corinthians 15:56-57 “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 1:6-7 (NLT) “So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.
