  2. Video game’s history The first video game was released in 1947. This game was “cathode Ray tube amusement device” developed by Thomas T. Goldsmith, jr. • But video games did not become popular until the 1970’s. • Mario’s first appearance was as “jumpman” in the arcade games donkey Kong, but mairo has appeared in over 200 games since. • .

  3. Nintendo 64 • The Nintendo 64 was released September 1996. • This console was Nintendo’s third home video games console for the international market. • The Nintendo 64 sold 33 million units worldwide.

  4. Xbox 360 • The Xbox 360 was released May 2005 • Several major features of the Xbox is that you could compete players online, download arcade games, TV show, movies, music, and more. • There have been about 39 million consoles sold worldwide. • You can also get the Xbox connect.

  5. Wii • The Wii was released march 2006 • There have been 94 million Wii console sold seen it was released. • The Wii has 1220 games out as of November 2011.

  6. PlayStation 3 • The PlayStation 3 was released November 2006 • There have been 41 million PlayStation 3 sold worldwide. • The PlayStation 3 can also play blue-ray movies.

  8. Are video games good or bad?? You decide…?

  9. Positives • Some video games can contribute to physical activity, like Wii fit or Xbox connects’ just dance 3. • Some games can be educational Wii fit just dance 3

  10. Negatives • Video games can be very addictive!! You could play it only once or twice, then get hooked. • If you play video games for to long, it can affect your eye sight • Video games can also make people see the world in different views, like that violence is okay and cops are the bad guys, just like in grand theft auto.

  11. How video games portray males and females of our time. • In most games that teenagers nowadays play; the men go around shooting innocent people and then run from the cops. Men are portrayed as gang members or amazing fighters. • Women are portrayed as prostitutes, or magical creatures with nice body's.
