  1. How to Check The Health of Your Motor Boat Battery? If you are someone who owns a boat, then you probably know that your boat’s battery is one of the most important components on it. Other than your normal electronics, a good amount of money is required to be invested to rely on your motor boat. Most boats are equipped with either a LiFe PO4 12v 200ah battery or a LiFe PO4 12v 100ah battery, depending on the size and power. It is important to maintain them to get the maximum use out of them, otherwise, if mistreated, you can lose most of their capacity within a couple of seasons. There are several ways in which you can keep a check on the health of your motor boat’s battery. 1.Marine batteries are durable, but they are not made to sustain extreme temperature fluctuations. So, it is important to keep them at the right temperature to avoid any unforeseen yet avoidable circumstances. 2.Recharge your marine battery to full immediately after using it to make it last longer. Leaving it idle to sit without full charge can result in lead sulfate deposits building up, making it harder for the battery to generate an electrical current. 3.Another important thing to maintain the battery is to keep it clean. The acid build-up on parts of the battery can make it difficult for it to start or even charge. 4.Marine batteries require distilled water for them to work properly. So, make sure to keep the water at the right level to reduce any risk which can cause damage. Marine batteries are designed specifically to meet the needs of a motor boat. LiFePO4 12v 200ah batteryand LiFe PO4 12v 100ah batteryare two of the most commonly found batteries in such boats. However, taking good care of them is important to last them for years. Investing in the whole system, from batteries to the charger, helps spread the cost over many fishing seasons and gives you plenty of time to enjoy your boat before you have to eventually replace the battery.
