  1. Life Cycle of the Sea Turtle By : Emma Stateson

  2. The Egg The first part of a sea turtles life cycle is the egg. Sea turtles can lay up to 200 eggs at a time. The eggs are laid on the shore. When the eggs hatch they crawl out of the shell and head for water. At that point the eggs are on their own with no mom or dad.

  3. The Baby When the baby is in the ocean with no care it looks out for itself. The turtle has to scavenge for food.

  4. Juvenile After the babies leave the nest they go out to sea and aren’t seen for as much as a decade. The juvenile goes through maturity at 7-50 years of age. Once the male and females go through maturity they leave the costal for migration often THOUSANDS of miles. That’s a lot!

  5. The Adult When the turtles reach there destination the males and females breed. The females will mate with multiple men and lay eggs over a course of a few months. Only the females will go to the shore to lay eggs. It is most likely for the moms to lay the eggs where they were hatched 1-2 decades ago.

  6. Diet -algae -sea grass -sea weed -crabs -jelly fish -coral

  7. Habitat Turtles do not live in cold places all year long. But they live mostly anywhere else.

  8. Life Span Sea turtles can live 50-100 years. One turtle was said to live about 250 years which is the longest life span of a turtle so far.
