Achieving 50% Diversion • Bin in every classroom, office, common space • Clear signage at recycling and waste containers • On-site “Champion” • Carefully cultivated “Culture of 4Rs” • Integration of 4Rs into classroom curriculum • School assemblies, waste-free lunch, “trash-pile,” “bring- in-your-old-coat-for-Goodwill” type events • Leadership (bin monitoring) by older classroom grades, student council, “ecology club” • Student participation in collection efforts
