Overview of the Political System in the Czech Republic: Structure and Key Features

The political system of the Czech Republic includes a directly elected president, 81 Senate members serving for 6 years, and a Chamber of Deputies with 200 members serving 4 years. The Senate and Chamber operate under a two-round majority and d'Hondt system, respectively. Legislative approval is required from both chambers, excluding the state budget.
