Initiated with funding from The Coca-Cola Foundation, Georgia's SHAPE-ing Up initiative tackles childhood obesity, an issue affecting 17% of children in the state. Launched in the 2011-2012 school year, this program emphasizes 90 minutes of active academic lessons each week to bolster both physical health and academic performance. Georgia's schools engage by participating in the "Power Up for 30" online survey to further this initiative, boosting student wellness and learning outcomes. Join us in promoting a healthier future for our children!
