  1. Lynda.com is changing to LinkedIn Learning Lynda.com, a third party resource owned by LinkedIn, is changing to LinkedIn Learning. ​ What does this mean for me? From Thursday 26 September, you will be asked to link your LinkedIn account to your Lynda.com / LinkedIn Learning account. What if I don’t have a LinkedIn account? If you do not have a LinkedIn account, you will be asked to create one. What if I don’t want a LinkedIn account? Unfortunately, you will be unable to continue using LinkedIn Learning without a LinkedIn account.   2. Important disclaimer LinkedIn Learning, formerly known as Lynda.com, is a third party provider that is not operated or managed by City of Kingston. By selecting to utilise free access to LinkedIn Learning you will be taken to a LinkedIn Learning sign in page where you will be asked to voluntarily submit your personal data to a third party organisation. ​ ​ The minimum information you need to provide to LinkedIn Learning is your first name, last name, and email. No information you have provided to City of Kingston Libraries will be used in the creation of your LinkedIn Learning account. ​ ​ By signing up to LinkedIn Learning you agree to the transfer, storing, and processing of your data outside of the country where you reside, and LinkedIn Learning will take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with the LinkedIn Privacy Policy. LinkedIn Learning is subject to the LinkedIn User Agreement, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

  3. Login process for existing LinkedIn account holders: Sign in With existing LinkedIn.com account Redirected to Landing page Verify Library Card & PIN Welcome or or Already logged into existing LinkedIn.com account

  4. Login process for non-LinkedIn account holders: Redirected to Landing page Verify email Welcome Join now for a new LinkedIn.com account Create account with name, email, password Verify Library Card & PIN or

  5. Sign in with an existing LinkedIn account, or…Join nowto create a new LinkedIn account.

  6. If selecting Join now,your email, first name, and last name are all that’s required to create a LinkedIn Learning account.

  7. A verification code willbe sent to the email you provided. Copy the code and paste it into the LinkedIn Learning login screen… Email in your inbox… LinkedIn Learning login verification screen…

  8. Enter your Kingston Libraries library card number and PIN to confirm your library membership.

  9. An optional step will appear for you to select any skills you are most interested in learning. You can Skip this if you like.If you were already using Lynda.com, your learning history will be transferred over as long as you’re using the same library card number.
