The 0⁰ latitude line that runs like a belt across the globe is called the EQUATOR. 3. The 0⁰ longitude line that runs from the North Pole to the South Pole is called the PRIME MERIDIAN. 4. Absolute Location – If I give you a longitude and latitude coordinates, you should be able to locate that point on a map. Use Absolute Location and Casey’s Island worksheets in your binder to help. 5. Key Geographic Features – Use the page in your table of contents to help identify and describe the 10 geographic features we discussed in class. (Plateau, hill, mountain, plains, island, peninsula, gulf, river, tributary, lake)
