MAKING IT REAL The reasons for Making It Real are ……… • Understand “what it is like” as a community member • Community members help design services • Support independence, help understand budgets • Resources allocated to the most vulnerable • Ensure that what is provided is what is wanted • Hold organisations to account • Record what is done well and what needs to improve • To improve communication and understanding • Improve working with all organisations involved • Give ideas as to how things could be better

MAKING IT REAL Are we making a difference? • A forward plan of key work streams will be created and communicated • A re-designed local account will be current and will focus on outcomes • Measurable outcomes = SHIP & ‘I’ statements • MIR activities reported directly to the Directorate Management Team • A transparent ‘You Said We Did’ 4 monthly public reporting system • We are seeking honest scrutinising views • Increased community member activity and a stepping stone to co-production
