Starting Point:Why does religion cause so much tension over local diversity and globalization? 1) People care deeply about religion from which come core values and beliefs. 2) Religion is a key element of culture. 3) Some religions are designed to “convert” the world, others are more localized. 4) Religious values give insight into the ways that people may organized the landscape. 5) Because religions usually require exclusivity, adopting a global religion usually requires turning away from a local religion. 6) Migrants take their religion with them to a new location and usually keep their religion whereas they may learn a new language.
