Early Diagnosis Program: Advancing Pediatric Cancer Care through Education and Collaboration
The Early Diagnosis Program focuses on continual medical education and training for first-contact physicians, ophthalmologists, pediatricians, and other health professionals involved in toddler care. It fosters academic collaborations with international experts and develops written resources for both generalist and specialist healthcare providers. Initiated in August 2004, it aims to implement a National Treatment Protocol by collaborating with pediatric oncologists, ophthalmologists, and other specialists. The program seeks to improve understanding of delay factors affecting pediatric cancer treatment to ensure timely access to healthcare.
