Current Research about Problem • Internet Research • Surprisingly, did not find a great deal • Has been an idea of the military • Medical Alert Bracelets- Not detailed enough • Personal Medical History on CD-ROM • Need a computer with a CD-ROM drive • Can’t be read by an EMT, not quick or efficient • Not easily updatable, must dispose of and create a new one

Proposed SolutionElectronic Personal Medical Chart(EPMC) • Small, easily updatable disk/chip that can easily be read by Pocket PCs/Palms. • Allows doctors and EMTs to gain vital health information quickly in an emergency • Will contain medical history and flag important information (allergies, etc) • Small enough to be wearable (jewelry) • Easy to use software • Made using current technology
