NISGTC Highlights No-Cost Extension granted 1/29/14 extends end of grant from 9/30/14 until 9/30/15 and allows all 7 colleges 12 more months to serve students Curriculum aligned with BILT KSAs in 4 IT Specialty areas; stackable certificates Content written for 25 courses across all 4 IT specialty areas and being put online by Rio (promised 16)

  7. NISGTC Highlights Continued • 105 new virtual labs released to faculty (promised 200) • 223 individuals had completed one or more credentials as of 12/31/14 • 15 individuals officially had achieved employment as of 12/31/14 according to DOL definitions

Opportunities for Involvement • Job Fair January 16 with 7 employers and over 60 candidates; another April 30 • You and your company can help • Virtual internship/externships need mentors – Collin needs 1 mentor • Contact Ann or Tu Huynh for info • on mentoring takes 4-5 hours via • webinar plus the final project • presentation

  9. Further Focus • Collin NISGTC team beginning to work with Continuing Education • Collin CE Schedule coming out in April will focus on IT, both CE and Credit • New CE certificates will be distributed via email for your recognition as today’s schedule is too packed
