  2. HabitatThe turtles areprimarily found in the open ocean as far north as Alaska and as far south as the tip of Africa.

  3. Identification Back is mostly black with variable degrees of white or paler spotting. Only sea turtle that does not have a hard shell.

  4. Food Leatherbacks only eat jellyfish.

  5. Shell Pattern

  6. Reproduction Every 2 or 3 years a female lays 80 large eggs and 30 small eggs. They take 65 days to hatch.

  7. ThreatsThey are threatened by pollution and fishermen.
