Background Information: Education and Technology • The Internet is about communicating and brings the world's resources and knowledge to our fingertips • Technology is not new • Finding the best way to integrate technology for students will take time, exploration, and experimentation on the part of teachers • Many people warn of the possible harmful effects of using technology in the classroom • Inappropriately used in the classroom, technology can be used to perpetuate old models of teaching and learning
