History about Sea Scouting • Started in 1912 in the US • Purpose: “To instill in these young men a code of ethics for their future use in life, through an organized program, in which their previous Scout experiences area continued, deepened, and polished.” (1920’s manual) • Helped to keep older youth involved in Scouting • Helped to teach marketable skills • Sea Scouts made a big contribution during WWII CREATED BY CR VENTURING, 2016
