2018 Excellence Awards This year, the Hunter New England Health Excellence Awards will feature both the High Value Health Care Awards (formerly known as Quality Awards) and the Staff Achievement Awards. This annual event celebrates the pinnacle of clinical excellence, quality, innovation and outstanding achievement across the Hunter New England Health district and are the filter to the NSW Health Awards which are held in October.
High Value Health Care Awards Categories 1. Patients as Partners 2. Delivering Integrated Care 3. Patient Safety First 4. Keeping People Healthy 5. Supporting our People 6. A Safe and Healthy Workplace 7. Health Research and Innovation 8. Excellence in the Provision of Mental Health Services 1) Contact details of submissions are to be electronically submitted to Partnerships, Innovation & Research Unit via Select Survey using the following link: Select Survey 2) Once The Select Survey is completed the submission template is to be e-mailed to HNELHD-ResearchInnovation@hnehealth.nsw.gov.au
Achievement Awards Categories • Staff Member of the Year • Collaborative Leader of the Year (nominated by Executive Leadership Team) • Clinical Team of the Year • Support Team of the Year • Emerging Leader of the Year (nominated by Executive Leadership Team) • Volunteer of the Year - Individual • Volunteer of the Year - Group Before you complete a nomination, take the time to read over the 2018 Achievement Awards Overview & Guidelines document. Writing Your Report Submission • Follow the rules/requirements stated on the submission template. • Submit within the timeframe • Be concise and clear • Use data to support your report/improvement • Choose the right chart/tool to present your data • Reference your submission • Ask assistance from someone to proof read your report (someone unfamiliar with your project) • Senior Manager and/or Line Manager to review submission
