  2. INDUCTION OVERVIEW This information package has been compiled to introduce new employees, existing employees and visitors to LONRHO LOGISTICS, O.R. Tambo Int'l Airport, Kempton Park. Gauteng SA. The aim of this presentation is to: Inform employees, visitors, contractors of the hazards within the building areas Inform employees, visitors, contractors of the environmental commitments of Lonrho Ensure all employees, visitors, contractors are aware of the legal obligations from all the applicable legislations. Describe procedures and facilities available in the event of an emergency situation, including first aid and provide general orientation information on Health, Safety and the Environment Outline the Companies security measures (Access Control & PART108 Cargo Security) Describe procedures and facilities available in the event of an emergency situation, including first aid and medical emergencies, fire fighting and building/plant evacuation LONRHO LOGISTICS– JOHANNESBURG / CAPE TOWN

  4. Policy continued –: ENVIRONMENT Prevention of environmental incidents within the workplace. To train and inform all employees and visitors on all aspects of Environmental Conservation. The conservation of natural resources and the prevention of pollution to air, ground and water respectively. The principle of continuous improvement to the environmental performances of LONRHO LOGISTICS. To comply as a minimum standard with all relevant legislation, standards and other requirements reasonably available to our organisation. Policy continued - : HEALTH AND SAFETY It is therefore that we commit ourselves and our employees to the Health and Safety Program to: The continued identification of hazards and risks to our employees, contractors and visitors onto the companies premises. The continued improvement of the Health and Safety Program. To establish a committee to evaluate the hazards and risks and to put in place steps to eliminate or mitigate the identified hazards and risks. To train and inform all employees, contractors and visitors on all aspects of Health, Safety, Fire and the Evacuation Procedures. To ensure an open channel for internal and external communication to ensure that the requirements of the Company Policy Statement are met and that the Occupational Health and Safety systems performance is continually improved in a cost effective manner. Policy continued - : HEALTH AND SAFETY In order to achieve this a HEALTH, SAFETY and ENVIRONMENTAL program will be implemented which shall comply with all legislation pertaining to the Health, Safety and Environment and the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2009 It is the duty of every Manager as well as any other employee, visitor or contractor on site, to conduct their activities in such a manner as to strive for a healthy and safe environment. Communication with interested parties shall be considered when such requests are received. The Health, Safety and Environmental Policy will be reviewed on an annually basis during the review meeting as per the program. Mr. M. Induction overview - continued We are determined to prevent incidents relating to health, safety, environment and the community Everyone has the right and responsibility to stop unsafe work, to refuse to work in unsafe conditions, and to bring unsafe conditions and acts to the attention of management and / or the Health & Safety Representative, even if they only believe, in good faith, the job is unsafe. Furthermore: No amount of money is worth a life. Think and plan before you and your team act. We will investigate any unsafe conditions/activity and make sure these are made safe. Any manager, supervisor or contractor who puts profit or production before people is not aligned with the policies of LONRHO LOGISTICS LONRHO LOGISTICS– JOHANNESBURG / CAPE TOWN

  9. Induction overview - continued To enter the property you are required to make use of the gates at security. As an employee you will be issued with an I.D. card, as a contractor you will be required to sign in at security and then be issued a card for the day. The lending/borrowing of I.D cards to/from other individuals is strictly forbidden and illegal. If found guilty of this offence, ACSA will confiscate your ID card and legal action will be taken against you and against to company. In the event that you lose your I.D. card you should report it immediately to your Direct Manager LONRHO LOGISTICS– JOHANNESBURG / CAPE TOWN

Smoking – policy and procedure Smoking within Lonrho Logistics is only allowed within certain demarcated areas PURPOSE OF THE POLICY The purpose of the policy is to comply with the provisions of the Tobacco Products Control Amendment Act 1999, and to ensure a smoke free environment for employees and visitors. BACKGROUND The Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, in section 8, imposes a duty on all employers to provide and maintain, as far as is reasonably practicable, a working environment that is safe and without risk to the health of its employees. The Tobacco Products Control Act 83 of 1993 (“the Act”) specifically prohibits smoking in public places, including workplaces. It has been acknowledged that smoking is extremely injurious to the health of both smokers and non-smokers and warrants, in the interest of employees and public, restrictive legislation. Lonrho Logistics, while recognising the choice of employees and members of the public to smoke, is also aware of the fact that the health and well being of employees, particularly those employees who do not wish to smoke, must be protected in the workplace. In view of the fact that Regulations have been published under the Act setting out the applicable requirements, Lonrho Logistics has put in place a policy to give effect to these regulations. This policy covers smoking of tobacco products on all Lonrho Logistics sites. LONRHO LOGISTICS– JOHANNESBURG / CAPE TOWN

Smoking – policy and procedure Smoking within Lonrho Logistics is only allowed within certain demarcated areas POLICY To ensure a smoke free environment the following measures have been implemented:- All areas within the Lonrho Logistics premises, including offices, workshops, corridors, change houses and toilets are designated no smoking areas. “No smoking areas” signs are displayed at various locations reminding staff and visitors of the policy. For smokers, smoking should be done outside or in the smoking room allocated inside the building and smoking is to be restricted to these areas. In addition, smoke breaks should be kept short as it can result in social meetings at the smoking area. Visitors, who wish to smoke, will be directed to these designated smoking areas. No other designated smoking areas exist, unless these areas have been inspected and approved by the Dept of Health to comply with current legislation. SCOPE This policy applies to all employees, contractors, tenants, independent contractors and members of the public entering any LONRHO LOGISTICS premises. LEGAL PENALTIES AND DISCIPLINARY STEPS Members of the public that enter the LONRHO LOGISTICS premises, who ignore these requirements may expose themselves to eviction from the premises and to criminal conviction and fines. Employees, tenants or any person who fail to comply with this policy will be disciplined by the company and may also expose themselves to criminal conviction and fines under the Act. It is also the duty of every employee to see to it that this policy is adhered to and report any transgressions to their HOD or Health and Safety Representatives. Awareness Lonrho Logistics will ensure that the provisions of this policy are made known to employees and members of the public entering the premises. Lonrho Logistics, while recognizing the choice of employees and members of the public to smoke, is also aware of the fact that the health and well being of employees, particularly those employees who do not wish to smoke, must be protected in the workplace. You should explore and find out: Your location in relation to the outside environment. The name and location of the Emergency Coordinator, the Floor Marshal and First Aider in your office area. ISO is the International Standards Organisation and 14001 is the number for the Environmental Standard that was adopted by all countries who are members of the ISO Standards Organisation It is our system, we must take control and run it as part and parcel of our daily tasks. Take note of where we waste natural resources, do damage to the environment, within Lonrho Logistics and therefore take the responsibility to take charge and rectify damages and waste production. Report waste and constantly make recommendations on prevention methods. It is not the responsibility of one person or a certain group of persons to drive the system. Ask the question. “Is the printout necessary?” Use the back of non-confidential scrap paper for scribble work What is the cost of a ream of paper? If it was mine, will I waste my own paper? Do not use more water than what is necessary. Submit any recommendations to our Occupational Health and Safety Representative How can we save electricity? Switch off any lights that are not in use or in areas where sufficient daylight is available. Switch off air conditioners when leaving the office for long periods or at night before going home. Switch off any computers or appliances when not in use or. Unplug cell phone chargers Employees must take responsibility to ensure that lights and all other non-essential equipment within the department are switched off before leaving the premises.
