Current Status • RRP - proposed project • RRP is a tool or concept which enables rural areas to utilize their most valuable resources to gain optimal results. • It must help them to gain competitive edge by integrating all business processes and optimizing the resources available in rural area.

  3. Research ideas • RRP was expected to help groups working in rural or semi urban areas to integrate their– • financial information • integrate customer order information • standardize and speed up the manufacturing process • reduce inventory etc. • When RRP is combined with process improvements and best practices, it will help rural companies to cut costs and improve effectiveness.

  4. Issues • Unavailability of proper rural data and tendency to follow up ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), difficulty in integration of domain modules . • Large domains. • Development of unit modules for different domains. • Integration of modules in later stages.

  5. Training • Training requirements, role-wise • Expected training in any one of the ERP packages and through knowledge in domains like finance, marketing, Customer Relation Management, Design etc. • Domain experience/ research interest in agribusiness. • Induction for new joiners – good in domain field and ERP packages.
