March 31 & April 3, 2014 – HOMEWORK!For each of the defined vocabulary words below, write an original sentence using each word the way it would be used today. • Civil (adj.) – relating to citizens • Grudge (n.) – deep dislike • Naught (pron.) – nothing • Adversary (n.) – opponent • Ambling (n.) – walking • Augment (v.) – to increase • Beget (v.) – give life • Beseech (v.) – beg • Chastity (n.) – abstention from sexual intercourse • Flourish (v.) – to swing, brandish • Forfeit (n.) – a penalty • Humor (n.) – a mood, a whim • Kinsman (n.) – relative • Nuptial (n.) – wedding • Pernicious (adj.) – destructive; deadly • Portentous (adj.) – foreboding • Profaner (n.) – one who openly shows disrespect • Scathe (v.) – to harm

It WILL be used for scheduling purposes and as an alternative for FCAT should you not perform as well as you thought you would. •If time, begin typing bell work #4 ••Bell work Check #4 will be due on Thursday, April 17th ••We will be in the computer lab. Again on Tuesday, April 15th
