  1. |||||Topic Proposal||||| The main questions I see myself using are 1.How do horror writers keep their readers interested with the text? 2.In horror books do the characters seem real? Relatable to people and their actions? 3.How/why do most horror writers get into writing horror? 4.What writing style is unique to horror writing than in other books?

  2. Sub-Topics • After reading many horror books I find that I personally like zombie type horror books, I would like to research how authors can come up with their stories. • Another thing that interests me is if a horror writer bases their book off a real city or town do they go to that town and research it? Find some landmarks they can use in their book? • Do horror writers start basing their books on their own fears? Such as Stephen king and IT, is Stephen king afraid of clowns?

  3. Paragraph For my research paper on horror the main questions I will be using are how do horror writers keep their readers interested with the text? I plan on using that sentence because it seems like a very open ended question yet still simple to answer. I also plan on using the question What writing style do horror writers use that is unique to their stories? I am going to use this sentence because it also can be very open ended such as my other question and I already have some ideas of my own in mind for it. The final of the questions I plan on using the most is In horror books do the characters seem real? Relatable to people and their actions? I will be using this question because I feel like I can already answer this, based on the horror books I’ve read, then again I can occasionally see how they can not be relatable.

  4. Paragraph-Cont. There are 3 sub-topics I plan to focus on, one being do writers base their stories off real towns? And if they do, do they research the town and landmarks and things within the town? Another of my sub-topics is that I would like to research how authors come up with their stories, mainly the zombie genre of horror. My final sub-topic is me wondering whether or not horror writers base their books upon their own fears, such as Stephen King and the book IT, is Stephen King afraid of clowns? My goal is to mainly find out why and how horror writers come up with their ideas for their stories.
