Purpose of the FIHA • Purpose “To advance local interest in, and encourage the financial support of ice hockey teams for school age children from the Town of Falmouth, Maine” • High School • Fundraising to supplement school and parent funding in alignment with coach’s expectations of the team • This includes administrative support for tournaments and home games • Support community based activities – Seniors Night, Kids Night, etc • Middle School • Fundraising to supplement parent funding • Oversight of the Middle School coaches and hockey program • Communications
FIHA 2010-2011 Operating Expenses Notes: HS Varsity/JV does not include School Funding Includes Capital Improvements to Boys Locker Room at FIC – Tile replacement and floor repairs Expenses includes estimates for expenses incurred but not billed
FIHA 2011-2012 Proposed Operating Expenses Notes: HS Varsity/JV includes additional ice time, not funded by school MS Expenses are after Pay-To-Play Credit refunds Assumes no change in player fees from 2010-2011 and similar registration levels
2011 Goals for FIHA • Further improve transparency with our stakeholders • Develop new fund raising strategies • Develop and support a "Best In Class" hockey program • Work with the High School on the recruitment and engagement of the HS Varsity Coach to ensure that we have: • A high quality HS Varsity program • A robust HS JV program • Refresh our Middle School program to ensure that we have a good feeder system for the High School hockey programs that effectively balances fun, playing time and development.
