  3. VoIP Voice over Internet Protocol • Phone service uses the internet not the existing phone lines. • Phones scheduled for delivery Thursday October 13.

  4. Incoming Calls from outside line • Calls placed on a phone from OUTSIDE the district will NOT ring during the school day!

  5. Incoming Calls from inside line • Calls placed on a phone from INSIDE the district WILL ring. This could be teacher to teacher, office to teacher, Admin to teacher.

  6. Favorite Feature for Teachers • Call Park • Great for calls when you want a third person to listen to the conversation, help answer parent questions or finish the call. • Instructions are in the handout.

  7. Office Staff • Office staff will decide if a call should be sent to voicemail or sent to the teacher’s phone. • Transferred calls WILL RING during the school day. Only send a call to the teacher if it is an emergency. All other calls need to be sent to voicemail.

  8. Transfers (see handout) • Consulted: Ask permission before transferring the call. • Blind: USE BLIND KEY so person receiving the call can see who is on the line and not just your name. • To Voicemail: Use when a teacher is in class or when someone is away from their phone.
