  3. VTTX Description • Monthly VTTXs offered by EMI; different hazard each month • Conducted via Video-Teleconference (VTC) technology • Opportunity for emergency management / response personnel from across the nation to simultaneously participate in a hazard-specific facilitated discussion

  4. Format permits standardized delivery of exercise materials, scenarios, modules and discussion questions Pre-packaged set of materials reduces development effort of participating organizations Delivery method allows participating organizations to share real-time solutions to preparedness, response and recovery actions VTTX Benefits

  5. Prepare participants for a specific hazard that could impact the jurisdiction / organization Enable participants to better coordinate response and recovery operations under “whole community” concepts Leverage VTC technology to reach remote sites Provide a virtual, experiential educational environment to exercise critical response and recovery capabilities VTTX Goals

  6. Awareness briefing on the scenario hazard Three discussion modules presented by the EMI facilitator Local/field discussion with guided questions facilitated by an on-site facilitator Brief-outs from each participating location after each module Hot Wash conducted at each location after the VTC has ended HSEEP AAR/IP VTTX Features

  7. Each VTTX is designed to engage the participants in a no fault, hazard-specific exercise discussion The lead facilitation occurs via VTC from the EMI campus or FEMA HDQ Facilitation is complimented by a local or field facilitator at each VTC site Each VTTX is supported by an Exercise and Coordination Facilitation Guide, which includes all required logistical information and AAR/IP + EEG assistance VTTX Exercise Design

All participating sites must be able to access the FEMA VTC site All participating sites are responsible for recruiting exercise players, local logistics, and selecting an on-site facilitator All participating sites are responsible of submitting completion packages to include AAR/IP VTTX Participation Requirements

  9. VTTX Participation (through March) 92 Organizations / 1545 exercise players Potential New “Hazards” for FY14 • COOP • Prison Riot • Cyber • School Hostage • Aircraft Crash • Stadium/Arena Incident • CDC – Public Health Incidents
