  2. What makes up a eukaryotic cell? • Eukaryotic cells are basically sacks of fluid that are membrane bound. They contain a nucleus and are filled with organelles.

  3. What is a cell organelle? • All eukaryotic cells have small organ type parts called organelles. They are small structures that perform different/specific tasks which are very similar to human organs.

  4. Description of cell organelles • A eukaryotic cell has 5 main organelles and they are, Mitochondria, Ribosomes, Endoplasmic reticulum, Nucleus, Chloroplasts.

  5. Description of cell organelles • Bellow is a brief summary of each organelle and the functions they do. • Mitochondria functions: Is to produce energy, this is where food is converted to energy. • Ribosomes functions: Is to produce protein, and if an organism needs protein the body just produces more Ribosomes.

  6. Description of cell organelles • Endoplasmic reticulum functions:Is to transport nutrients and protein etc. within a cell. • Nucleus function: Controls the whole cell, contains DNA and jeans. • Chloroplasts functions: Are to turn sun light into food through photosynthesis.

  7. Difference between animal and plant cells • Plant cells contain Chloroplasts when animal cells do not. • Plants have cell walls but animal cells do not. • Plant cells also contain a larger central vacuole compared to animal cells.
