  2. Background Christian Education outpost is a facility with approximately 40 students in the Laventille area. The primary objective of this outpost is to address the holistic needs of children in the community where Christ’s love is demonstrated through practical experiences that caters for the individual child.

  3. Areas of Concerns Currently within the Laventille community there has been an increase in teenage pregnancies, gangs warfare and violence. We believe that by addressing the social issues and implementing programmes to encourage children to use their talents positively we can save future generations.

  4. Needs and Wants • Short term: bibles, remedial classes, food cards, sports equipments and any monetary contribution. • Long term: new location for children's church, sporting facilities.

  5. Benefits • Children are given a reasonable solution for a problematic community. • A different approach for existing programmes • New programmes implemented to foster good behavioural patterns accepted by society.

  6. Advantages and Disadvantages • Advantages: gives persons an option, a way out of what they know to be he norm • Disadvantages: because of overwhelming attendance there is a lack of space to facilitate classes.

  7. Conclusion Christian Education Outpost will provide positive experiences to young children in the Laventille community. Where there is life there is hope Together with your help we can bring hope to a troubled community.
