  1. Le voyage à Paris-city of lights • Quelques photos pour vous • Quelquesconseils pour le voyage

  2. Things you should know about Paris • Paris is a beautiful city, known as 'City of Lights' and of course, city of romance. Well, yes indeed. Having to live in Paris for a year, it's been a tremendously wonderful yet mind-boggling experience. You'll understand why! • Not all Parisians are rude. Nor do they hate the Irish • Say hello/goodbye when you enter stores and restaurants • try to speak French- they will appreciate it especially in DisneyLand.

  3. Things you should know about Paris • It will be cold in Paris in march, please bring lots of warm clothing ! • If you’re a tea drinker, you might want to bring your own tea-bags, tea tastes a bit funny over there • You will need a 2 pin plug adapter for charging your phone or using your hair straightner’s.

  4. Roissy - CDG • The French call the airport “Roissy” after the town nearby, not Charles de Gaulle the famous politician. It is located about 40 km north of Paris. Built in 1974. you will be arriving in aerogare 1 – the circle one

  5. Le stade de France • You will be able to see the famous “stade” while your on the bus from the airport

  6. Le champs elysées • This is the main street in Paris, used for all celebrations including the end of the tour de france cycle race. All the famous shops including versace and Dior are located here.

  7. The Arc de Triomphe is a triumphal arch that soldiers are to pass through when returning home after victory on the battlefield. The Arc de Triomphe was commissioned in 1806 after the victory at Austerlitz by Napoleon Bonaparte at the peak of his fortunes. It was completed in 1836. Beneath the Arc de Triomphe is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier that honors French soldiers from both World Wars.

  8. aquaboulevard Aquaboulevard is a large aquatic indoor recreational park on the edge of Paris. Waves, slides, exotic trees, swimming pools, you have them all.

  9. Sncf- le métro, le RER • Paris has one of the best public transport systems in the world. The Métro is the underground train service which serves the city, and the RER serves the suburbs-going very 2-5 minutes and to places as far away as Disneyland and the airport which are 50 km from the city centre

  10. airport Disney land

  11. You will see signs such as this on your trip This is the entrance to the metro station

  12. Disneyland à Paris • Disneyland Paris is based on the parks in Florida and California. It is located about 50km east of Paris in a town called “chessy” • It will be cold here, so wear lots of layers • The shops here are quite expensive, don’t be tempted to buy everything you see in the first 5 minutes, remember you have to carry your bags around with you all day. • Leave any shopping until the end of the day

  13. La grandearche de la défense • This big arch is a new development in the west of Paris – it consists mostly of offices and a large shopping centre. • You will find souvenirs and shopping much cheaper here than in Disney and the Champs elysées • You can go to the top of the arch and see Paris from a height.

  14. La tour eiffel • No trip to Paris would be complete without a visit or indeed a walk up la tour Eiffel. In the background is “les invalides” one of the better viewing spots of the tower, great place for photos. And pickpockets, so be careful

  15. La seine à Paris Seine River cruise boat docking at the Eiffel Tower

  16. Centre georges Pompidou The Centre Georges Pompidou, often shorted to Pompidou Centre, is often hated and sometimes loved by Parisians.  With its exposed skeleton of brightly colored tubes for mechanical systems, the building is a sharp contract to the many  historic structures in Paris. You will pass by this interesting building

  17. Le musée du Louvre Seeing the Mona Lisa painting at the Louvre Museum in Paris is not what you expected. You join the crowd and ease your way towards Mona, while everyone is taking pictures. Finally you get close, enjoy the painting and then struggle out of the crowd.
