Organization VMG • Vision : A prosperous society where all the farmers are enjoying a dignified life, the farmers are in a solidarity network, the entitlement rights are established, women farmers have recognition and respect, food and livelihood security is ensured and a sustainable and pro farmers’ agriculture policy is in place.

  3. Organization VMG • Mission: Promotion of appropriate technology for agricultural growth and sustainability, ensure easy availability of agriculture input for farmers, get fair price and promote fair trade, ensure food availability and equal distribution of food to achieve food sovereignty.

General Profile • Year established: 2009 • Total individual members: 10670 female and 8630 male • Total number of Farmer organizations: 813 (Village Organization) • Total provinces/districts/covered by your org: 31 unions of 10 sub-districts of 7 districts. • Number of board member: Total : 13 (4 female and 9 male) • Organizational Structure: Central Organization Sub-District Organization Union Organization Village Organization

Organizational Structure • The organization consists 19300 members from 813 village organizations. • The organization is actively operational in 31 unions (lowest level of administrative structure of the government) under 10 sub-districts with 7 districts of Bangladesh. Major programs/services to members • Achieving self-sufficiency in food and assisting for assuring food security • Contribute in constructing agriculture policy in favor of farmers • Assist for achieving dignity and recognition of women farmers • Work for exercising climate resilient sustainable agriculture • Contribute in the process of confirming social justice • Active participation in construction of a strong farmers’ organization and national forum

Major Plans 2014-2015 • Engage national right to food campaign (divisional and central level) • Support capacity building of women farmers’ leadership and networking • Formation Youth wing of KKM & Support capacity building of Youth farmers’ leadership and networking • Create alternative model on sustainable agriculture and building economic alternatives • Organize movement on access to market for small holder farmers • Develop business plan for small holder farmers on agro processing • Participate in agriculture research and information system with GO and NGOs initiatives • Develop partnership with national land and water rights movement

  9. Our thought & Findings • Select Committed Youth & Organized them. For that reason, We need to conduct a Survey. • Oriented & Sensitized them • Established Model Project through Youth • Create Various type of facilities from Govt. & Non governmental Initiatives. • Create option Training, Workshop & Help them resource mobilization &Technical Support. • Policy advocacy with Govt. for change their mind set
