July 20-21 Field Tour Erin Stacy 781-698-9087 || Lynn Sullivan 209-761-3048 || Joshua Clegg 209-968-2297 Meeting location: San Joaquin Experimental Range – will meet you at Front Gate P301 tower, 2013 public field trip (B) Providence Creek Hwy 41 to 145, left on Millerton Rd, left on 168 to Shaver Lake, right on Dinkey Creek Road to Forest Road 10S17 (turn right) Will include several stops on Forest Service Roads (C) Roadcut 1 by Shaver Lake Return to 168, turn right to pass through town. Road cut on west side of road after 1st marina. 20 July 2014 – Arrive – 5 pm at SJER gate 5:00 pm – Snacks, discussion, short presentation and orientation for the Southern Sierra CZO 5:45 pm – Head to CZO tower at SJER site; discuss installations, equipment, geophysics and drilling results 7:15 pm – Return to Barracks for dinner, discussions, games 21 July 2014 7:30 am – breakfast & prepare lunches 8:30 am – Depart SJER for CZO Providence Site 9:45 am – (1) Upper Met station, Water Balance Instrument Clusters, dust collectors 11:00 am – (2) depart, stop by P301 hillslope study (sediment fences, resin exchange & lysimeters for precipitation and soil water flows) 11:45 am – (3) P301 gaging station & sediment basin, bring lunches down to site 12:45 pm – depart for CZO tower & CZ Tree-1 (Parking at 4 – need to combine cars) 1:15 pm – (5) CZ Tree-1 discussion 1:45 pm – CZO Tower discussion 2:30 pm – (6) Meadow Complex, mini-meteorological station & surface-groundwater interactions 3:15 pm – depart Providence for road cuts 3:45 pm – Shaver Lake Road cut discussion 4:30 pm – Balsam Profile Road cut & discussion (if time) 5:00 pm – Adjourn, return to cars
