The Lamp Identification Tool utilizes a decision tree methodology to facilitate the easy identification of lamp types for catalogers and field use. With an intuitive web interface, it provides general date ranges and visual examples for key lamp types. The project emphasizes reliable data on manufacturer origins and date ranges for representative lamp types. This tool documents references to context-dated parallels and includes existing typologies for cross-referencing. Contributions of lamp images and details are welcome to enhance the tool's database.
