  1. L’impératif How to form commands in French- telling or suggesting what people should do

  2. First conjugation verbs ending in -er • Look at the present tense of the tu, nous and vous forms. Drop the pronoun and the –s of the tu form and voilà, you have the imperative or command forms. • Je chante nous chantons (let’s sing) • Tuchantes(sing)vouschantez (sing) • Il chanteilschantent • Aller- va, allonsallezbut Vas-y (Add s before Y.)
