Emergency Management Services Offered: • 5 Divisions: Emergency Management, Fire Prevention, Communications, US&R, E9-1-1. • 24/7 Alert & Warning, PCWARN, PC Alert. • 24/7 Emergency Duty Officer coverage. • Activation of the EOC to support response & recovery. • Deployment of MOCC, TACC1 or other response Command, Communications, Control Assets, Trained Incident Management Team.

Pierce County EOC Project • $12.1 Million Dollar Project • State-of-the-art, survivable facility, rated in the top five EOC’s nationally by DHS • Multiple systems redundancies • Regional and mobile integration and interoperability • Will support multiple, simultaneous events • Backup E-9-1-1, and Law and Fire Dispatch capability, and back-up State EOC • Backup Cascade Volcano monitoring, and master site for Public Safety Radio Comms.

Neighborhoods • Recognized as National “Best Practice” by US Congressional award. • Defined as a typical Block Watch group of 25 to 50 homes. • Program can build on established programs such as Block Watch, Safe Streets, Weed & Seed, neighborhood associations, etc. • No special skills or equipment are required to participate.

PC-NET Neighborhoods • Plan ahead of time how to respond as a group to a disaster. • Neighbors… • sign up for teams, • gather supplies and • practice with drills. • No special skills or training are required except first aid. • This is a program that pays for itself through Neighbors who learn they can make a difference, if they have a plan.
