  3. 何為引擎 • 引擎為英語Engine的音譯，即發動機或稱作原動機。原指把能量轉為動力再將動力傳輸到機器上的裝置。能使動能轉換為機械能，再將機械能傳輸到變速箱上，再傳輸到輪軸上來產生動能。

  4. 最早期的引擎-1 • 西元<1725~1804>將蒸汽機裝在板車上，製造出第一輛蒸汽板車 • 西元<1866>，德國工程師尼古拉斯·奧托(Nikolaus August Otto）)發明活塞式四衝程內燃機。

  5. 最早期的引擎-2 • <1885>，德國工程師卡爾·賓士在曼海姆製造出汽油引擎裝置，架設在馬車上的三輪汽車，有0.85馬力汽油引擎。 • <1886.1.29>，卡爾·賓士取得世界第一項汽車引擎專利。同年7月，世界第一部四輪汽車正式販售。

  6. 隨著時代進步的引擎-1 • <1885>，德國工程師卡爾·賓士製造出汽油引擎。 • <1892>，德國工程師魯道夫·狄塞爾製造出柴油引擎，使用[狄塞爾循環]原理。
