  1. Second Chances… Moses gives a Second Chance

  2. Last Week….

  3. Do We Deserve Grace… For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord Rom. 6:23 “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”Rom. 3:10-12

  4. Grace is a 2nd Chance and Free… But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved Eph. 2:4-5 For it is by grace you have been saved, through and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast Eph. 2:8-9

  5. Moses got a 2nd Chance and He gave a 2nd Chance … Highlights …Israelites were slaves in Egypt …King of Egypt attempts to kill all firstborn sons of Israel …Moses’ life was spared

  6. Moses’ Need for a 2nd Chance… One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. Glancing this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. Ex. 2:11-12

  7. Moses Door… For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph. 2:10 … He Knew it was wrong … He Knew he should do something about it He Went About it the Wrong Way

  8. Moses Gets a Second Chance…

  9. Moses Gives a 2nd Chance… Has anyone ever talked about You Behind Your Back ??? Have You ever talked about anyone behind their Back ??? Most of the time it bothers us Why???

  10. Two Reasons it Bothers us… … most of the time it’s only half the story …it’s none of the person’s business who is talking

  11. Going behind Moses’ Back… Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. “Has the LORD spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the LORD heard this Num. 12:1-2 Why… … she was different

  12. Going behind Moses’ Back… Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. “Has the LORD spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the LORD heard this Num. 12:1-2 Reasoning and Motive… … jealousy and judgment

  13. Going behind Moses’ Back… Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. “Has the LORD spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the LORD heard this Num. 12:1-2 Every Time !!!

  14. God’s Response… At once the LORD said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the Tent of Meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them came out. Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the Tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them stepped forward, he said, “Listen to my words… Num. 12:4-6

  15. God’s Response… “When a prophet of the LORD is among you, I reveal myself to him in visions, I speak to him in dreams. But this is not true of my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my house. With him I speak face to face, clearly…. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?” Nu 12:6-9

  16. God’s Response… The anger of the LORD burned against them, and he left them. When the cloud lifted from above the Tent, there stood Miriam—leprous, like snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had leprosy; Num. 12:9-10

  17. Something to Think About… God Feels a similar way about us that He did about Moses !!!

  18. What Mattered and Didn’t Matter… Didn’t Matter… … what they had or hadn’t done … who they did or didn’t know What Mattered… … they crossed the line and sinned … their only option was grace

  19. SO THEY BEGGED FOR IT !!! …and he (Aaron) said to Moses, “Please, my lord, do not hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed. Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother’s womb with its flesh half eaten away.” So Moses cried out to the LORD, “O God, please heal her! Num. 12:11-13

  20. Have you ever thought about all the second chances you’ve received ??? … we don’t DESERVE any of them Think about it !!! …share with others the grace you have received!
