Since the implementation of the College Success Seminar in 2007 there has been a continuous effort to align with CCC goals, as well as scale across the District. • CSS MILESTONES : • Fall 2010 – FOE recommends course mandatory for new students 29 hrs or less • Summer 2011 - Included critical thinking, technology, & career planning into CSSI trainings highlighting use of FOCUS-2 • Spring 2012 – Introduced contextualized sections – HW, KKC; online & Gateway pilot • Fall 2012 – Introduced customized textbook featuring CCC students and pertinent CCC information • Fall 2012 - Faculty approved to teach course for load • Fall 2012 – Established College Success Scholarship • Summer 2013 – Introduced GPS emphasizing career planning using FOCUS -2; FDW training of faculty • Fall 2013 – Professional Development – October 11th – Training remaining CSS instructors on FOCUS -2 and stress GPS as required outcome; award College Success scholarship
