  12. A Funny Family Moment We were walking- or in my case –being pushed along the long bright corridor. I was on my to the operating room. I looked up at my mom and she looked scared. I started to hear the doctor’s in another operating room talking quietly. When we got to the operating room, we had to wait for the anesthesiologist. She gave me the anesthesia and I went out cold. I was asleep in the OR for four hours and then spent three more hours in the Recovery Room. Things were not looking that good. All of a sudden I felt like my arm –which was numb- was being poked. I reluctantly opened my up, and saw my sister. I said,” Michelle your hair is messed up” There was an audible sigh and then loud laughter. That was a very funny family moment.

  14. In memory of my Great Grandpa Ramon: What started out as a fun day turned to a serious and cold one. It was my sister’s birthday and we went to Peter Piper Pizza. We ordered the Pepperoni Pizza and while we waited we went to spend our tokens. After a while , my dad called us in to eat. We finished five boxes of pizza. When the party was to a close , my dad pulled us aside and told us that we were going to have to go to the hospital. We had already known that my Great Grandpa Ramon was in the hospital. We cashed out our tickets and left for the hospital. When we got there my grandma explained to us that Great Grandpa Ramon had fluid in his lungs, so we would see him hooked up to machines. Then came one of the saddest moments in my life. I walked into the room and saw my great grandpa looking grey and truly old. I hugged him, and his grip was not the familiar one I knew.

  15. A Scary Family Moment My grandparents, my dad and my siblings and I were taking a trip to San Antonio. When were on the outskirts of some city –the name of which eludes me- it started raining. We figured that it would pass over and then out of the bloom we heard thunder crash. We looked out the window to see where it would land and we saw it land about 200 yards to our left. We saw it actually hit an old oak tree. We jumped about a mile out of our seats and only to see that my dad is hassling with the steering wheel. We knew later that we had almost crashed with an 18 wheeler. That was extremely scary!
