About the Author Shelly achieved her Associates in Fine Arts from Broward College and went on to achieve a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Florida Atlantic University with Minors in Education & History. She created her first art website in 2015 to display her paintings, in the fall of 2019 she opened a second website to share her DIY knowledge with others. In December of 2019 Shelly opened an Etsy shop too, all while still working full time. In March 2020 she retired from corporate office work and started really focusing on her art. Within 2 years she had increased her Etsy sales by 1,000 percent, which made her husband happy as he was fed up with having her art take up so much space in their home. For Shelly, the true joy of 'art' is in 'creating it and sharing her knowledge with others' so they can have as much fun as she is having with experimenting with different media. Shelly is still waiting to see what she wants to do when she grows up, truly hoping of course that she never does.<br>
