  1. How to be a star and get a C or better • Learning Spanish is like making a good cake: • You have to have the right ingredients • You have to mix them together well • You have to follow the recipe • You have to practise until you get the best result! I’ll have some of that!

What do you need to do to get a C in your writing assessment? • Grade C: • you can write on different topics/contexts • You can communicate information and point of views (giving reasons to your opinions) • You can vary your structures and you include tenses or time frames • What you are writing is clear but there may be a few mistakes

What do you need to do to get an A in your writing assessment? • Grade A: • you can write on different topics/contexts • You can communicate information, explain ideas and points of views • You can vary your vocabulary, structures and verb tenses (think present/past/imperfect/future) • What you are writing is clear, your spellings are accurate but there may be mistakes when you try to write more complex sentences

  12. Now let’s be honest… You can’t achieve a C if you don’t put the effort in. I am meeting you half way. Your job is to learn the phrases and USEthem ALL THE TIME! With time you are going to feel more confident with your writing and will be able to use more personal and original phrases.

  13. The pitfalls Everyday, Spanish words are misused ! The following words are words you use ALMOST every lesson so ONCE and FOR ALL learn the correct spellings FOREVER!!!!
