  2. Water in Fuel Sensor Principle The Water In Fuel sensor (WIF Sensor) is used to detect water in the fuel filter. Water sensor fixed on the bottom side of the filter bowl. The water molecules present in the fuel is collected in the bottom of the filter bowl. When the water level reaches a pre defined level, the resistivity changes. This change of resistivity is sensed by ECU and ECU generates an alarm and sends appropriate signals to other circuitry. Rotary Electronics Pvt Ltd.
