The National Economy of ChinaThe national economy of China has broken away from the infection of the world economic crisis.In 2011, the national economy of China was growing rapidly and steadily by the increase rate of 10.3% (fixed price). The import increased by the rate of 38.7 %; the export increased by the rate of 31.3 %; the total of export and import increased by the rate of 34.7%.

  7. China Printing Industries In China, printing industries include 3 parts ● Printing----About 106,400 printing enterprises, 4.46 million employees ● Printing equipment ----About 750 manufacturers ● Printing material----About 250 producers (without paper)

  8. printing● Modern printing is one kind of industries which serve every field of the society and every people of the society. ● The total amount of printing of one country is mainly decided by two factors: its population and the developed level of its national economy.● The printing industry of China is growing simultaneously with the development of national economy.●In 2009, printing in China was also continuously affected by the world economic crisis, but it was still growing rapidly and steadily by the increase rate of 8.4%.

In 2009 ● The turnover of printing equipment in China was decreased by the rate of 6.3%; Sale in domestic market was increased by 19%. ● The import of printing equipment was decreased by the rate of 18%, and the export was decreased by the rate of 40%. ● The total value of printing equipment bought by domestic market had a little increase of 0.4%. The first 6 months of 2010 ● The total of import and export of printing equipment of the first 6 months of 2010 increased 65% compared with the same period of 2009. ● The import of printing equipment increased 57.4%; the export of printing equipment increased 83.6%, compared with the same period of 2009.

In 2009 ●The total of offset plate consumed by domestic market increased 6.9%, the total of ink consumed increased 10.6%; the total of paper and paperboard consumed increased 2.6%. ● The total of the import and export of printing material was reduced by the rate of more than 10%. The import and export of different printing material was reduced by different rate respectively, the biggest decrease rate of the export was CTP plate which reached 33.6%. The first 6 months of 2010 ● The total of import and export of printing material of the first 6 months of 2010 was increased by the rate of 33% compared with the same period of 2009. ● The import of printing material was increased by the rate of 28.4%; the export of printing material was increased by the rate of 40.9%, compared with the same period of 2009.

The distribution of printing industry ● Printing industry in china is concentrated in the coast area form Guangdong Provence to Liaoning Provence along the coast. ● The printing amount of Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and Southeast Coast Region, Around Bohai Region takes up 75.8% of the total printing amount of the whole country. ● There is a trend of some printing companies extend their business to Middle Region and part of West Region.

  45. Printing Market and its Demands Printing and Printing Market The development of printing always follows the development of printing market to satisfy the needs of the market. Any time of successful printings must be “on demand”. Printing has been developing on the way of “on demand”. “on demand” means the relation between printing (printer) and printing market (printing demander), does not mean any ability of any kind of printing equipment. Demands of Printing market ● Quickness ● Diversification ● Individuation ● Environment ● Safe and sanitation ● The amount of the demand of printing for publication will be decreased ● The amount of the demand for pack printing and other industries will be increased.

Printing Technologies in China ● Now we are engaging in the digitalization of printing technologies. ● Digital Printing------Digital technology combines with conventional printing technique, forms new printing system, and give birth to “digital printing”. “digital printing” may be defined as following: one printing system, input digital information to it, it can automatically complete the whole process of printing without any direct interference of manpower, this system can be called “digital printing” system, this printing can be called “digital printing” . ● Electrostatic Printing ------Combines with digital technology, forms one kind of digital printing, rapid developing in applications. ● Ink jet Printing------One kind of digital printing, rapid developing in applications. ● Offset Printing------At main position, developing towards digitalization. ● CTP Technology------ To Maturity, in fact it is the digitalization of offset plate making. ● Gravure, Flexographic Printing, Screen Printing------Developing step by step in its own field respectively.

The Association of Printing Industries of China ● Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC) is the sole national printing industrial association in China; ● PEIAC is constructed of 3 parts, printing companies, printing equipment manufacturers and printing materiel producers; ● PEIAC has 10 sub-associations, 7 working committees, 47 group members (printing association of province or city), more than 1,400 members and more than 60,000 indirect members (member of group member); ● PEIAC is a non-profit social organization; ● PEIAC works as a “bridge” between government and enterprises of printing industries; ● The main task of PEIAC is to serve its members and to promote the development of printing industries of China.

Important Events of Printing International Printing Exhibitions ●China Print------Beijing International Printing Technology Exhibition, once four years. ------China Print 2009, The 7th Beijing International Printing Technology Exhibition, was held during May 11-16, 2009, at New China International Exhibition Centre. It was badly pounded by the world economic crisis. Even though, its exhibition area reached 110,000 square meters, bigger than that of China Print 2005 over 20%; 1284 exhibitors, almost all Chinese manufacturers participated in the event, more than that of China Print 2005 over 30%; 162,000 visitors, from 108 countries, shortly more than that of China Print 2005. China Print 2009 was a great success under the shadow of the world economic crisis. ●Print China ------China (Guangdong) International Technology Exhibition, once four years. ------Print China 2007 was held during April 10-14, 2007 at Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Centre (GME). The exhibition area was 80,000 square meters, the exhibitors were 1048 companies, the visitors were more than 100,000 persons. ------Print China 2011 will be held during April 9-13, 2011, at GME. The exhibition area will be more than 100,000 square meters; the exhibitors will be more than 1,000 companies; almost all Chinese printing equipment manufacturers will participate in the event; More than 120,000 visitors are expected. ●Printing Exhibitions of Overseas ------PEIAC organizes its members to participate in printing exhibitions of overseas. For example, recently PEIAC organized 81 manufacture members to participate in IPEX 2010, they occupied booth area of more than 2,300square meters. h

Printing International Forum ● Forum-PI ------ The International Forum for Printing Industry Development, once four years. ------ Forum PI 2009, The Second International Forum for Printing Industry Development, was held on May 11, 2009, at Beijing Friendship Hotel. The speakers, top leaders of national printing associations from USA, UK, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Africa, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine, Pakistan, South Korea and China, gave 500 audience very important and wonderful reports. ------ Forum-PI 2013, The Third International Forum for Printing Industry Development will be held on May, 2013, Beijing. ● Forum-PT ------ The International Forum for Printing Technology Development, once four years. ------ Forum-PT 2007 was successfully held on April 9, 2007, in Dong Guan City, Guangdong province, China. ------ Forum-PT 2011 will be held on April 8, 2011, in Dong Guan City.

  50. Information Conference ● INFOPRINT ------The International Printing Information Exchange Conference, on Friday around December 1 before the opening day of the annual meeting of PEIAC at Friendship Hotel, Beijing , every year. About 20 speakers from the world release their latest important information to the audience, more than 500 very important persons from printing industries participate in. It is the best platform for printing news release in China. INFOPRINT 2010,the 13th International Printing Information Exchange Conference, will be held on December 3, 2010.
