College Goal Sunday (CGS) is an initiative aimed at helping South Dakota students complete the FAFSA and navigate financial aid. Supported by a $96,000 Lumina Foundation grant, CGS provides on-site assistance at various locations, alleviating the stress surrounding college funding. In 2008, attendance increased significantly with 267 students and 277 parents participating. The program targets underserved populations, including Native Americans and first-generation college students, ensuring equitable access to education in a state facing unique economic challenges.
