Purpose of the presentation • These power points are made to raise awareness of litter that is dumped carelessly In Gledhow Valley Woods. • To support Gledhow Valley Woods you can help by becoming a member of the F.G.V.W (friend of gledhow valley woods). • Here, we do community action days where the F.G.V.W do various jobs of work to improve the woods, if you help, you know that you have done something good and that you should be proud of your achievements.

3. Examples • One day in the school holidays I saw some boys in the woods, they were throwing a glass bottle into the trees and catching it, at one point they just let it fall and smash all over the path ,then they left it there, for children, running through the woods, and maybe fall and cutting themselves. This also produces a risk of dogs cutting their paws.

4. Restoration • This is a pond that the members of F.G.V.W have made, attempting to attract pond life, if you help by telling people not to litter in the woods, and/or join the F.G.V.W, they can expand on this to make all of the woods a better place instead of only some of it. As they say, Every little helps.

6. See • That is one example of how badly littered the woods are. I found the roof top container on my way home from school. • I am asking, parents and teachers in schools and in homes, if you see this presentation, could you please encourage people to do something about it, to make Gledhow Valley Woods a place where people can walk their children and dogs as we are lucky to have this on our doorstep.
