  1. Dr. Nancy Ho has developed the world’s most efficient microorganism for conversion of cellulose to ethanol. The ‘Purdue Ho yeast’ has been licensed by several companies for biofuels production and application of this technology is provided in Green Tech America, LLC., a company founded by Dr. Ho. Development of desired traits in this yeast strain continue with research in the Bindley Center funded by two Dept of Energy awards to Dr. Ho and Bindley Lead Scientist Jiri Adamec.
