The Priceless Inheritance: Sacrificing for Spiritual Wealth

In this reflective exploration based on Matthew 13:44-46 and Revelation 3:20, we uncover the true meaning of spiritual possession. To secure our priceless inheritance, we must be willing to make sacrifices, transcending mere belief or fleeting emotions. This journey requires a deep commitment to realizing and enjoying the wealth that faith offers. As highlighted in 1 Peter 1:4, we are promised an inheritance that is pure and eternal, and true possession is secured only through our willingness to embrace life's sacrifices.

  3. “To secure it, to realize it as our own, to enjoy its wealth, we must be ready to make any sacrifice. We do not possess it if we only believe that it exists, or that it is of great value. We do not possess it if we only discern it – see at times visions of its beauty and richness, of all that it might bring into our life. We do not possess it even if in moments of high emotion we seem to feel and know its wealth and power. Possession is secured only by sacrifice – sacrifice which is willing to cover the whole range of life.”

  4. 1 Peter 1:4 says, “and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.”
