  2. CHARACTERISTICS • SNAKES ARE 30 FEET LONG. • SNAKES HAVE GOOD EYE SIGHT. • SNAKES CAN NOT WALK BUT THEY SLITHER. • SNAKES SMELLWITH THEIR TOUNGE. • SOME SNAKES CAN FLY! • SOME SNAKES CAN CLIMB. • SNAKES CAN BITE A HUMAN • SNAKES ARE DEADLY! SNAKES ARE SCARY!

  4. SNAKES’ FOOD Snakes are predators. They are experts at taking advantage of any prey resource within their habitat. Prey resources include "warm-blooded" vertebrates (birds, or mammals), "cold-blooded" vertebrates (amphibians, fish, and other reptiles), and "invertebrates" (Insects, spiders, crustaceans,snails, and worms). Some snakes will also eat eggs.There is one particular snake, the tentacled snake (Erpetontentaculum) which also eats aquatic plants.
