  7. Prism • A prism has all rectangular sides connected by 2 parallel and congruent bases. The number of edges 1 base has is equal to the number of rectangular sides. Is a cylinder a Prism?

  8. Pyramids • A pyramid has only 1 base with triangular faces whose vertices meet at a peak. The number of edges the base has is always equal to the number of triangular sides. Is a cone a Pyramid?

  9. What shape is this then? • It has 2 bases • But they are not congruent • It has neither rectangular nor triangular sides • The sides are trapezoids

  10. It is a Truncated Pyramid • If you were to extend all the lines connected the larger base to the smaller base, they would all meet, thus forming triangles, therefore it is a modified or truncated pyramid
