DAILY PRAYER • Daily prayer is implied in the teaching of Jesus Luke 11:3 “give us this day…” • Jesus prayed often Luke 11:1 • Jesus prayed all night Luke 6:12 • We should not stop praying 1 Thess. 5:17 • In any situation 1 Thess. 5:18 • We should pray about everythingPhil. 4:6 • Especially for forgivenessLuke 11:4 God’s plan of forgiveness for the Christian 1 John 1:7-10

DAILY READING • Daily prayer is talking to God • Daily reading is listening to God • The Bereans searched the scriptures daily Acts 17:11 they were “noble-minded” • The spiritual man loves God’s word Psalm 1:2 • He thinks about it day and night (continually) • God’s word is our spiritual food 1 Peter 2:2 • How long should we go without it?

DAILY SACRIFICE • Daily sacrifice was required under the law of Moses Numbers 29:6 • The law of Christ also requires a daily sacrifice • Luke 9:23 take up your cross daily • Galatians 2:20 crucified with Christ • Romans 12:1 a deliberate choice • We need to live a continual life of faith and obedience each day
