  3. VNNIC –some current images • Established on 28 April, 2000 • Directly under Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) • Current staff: 75 people • Main office in Ha Noi • 2 branchs in Ho Chi Minh city and Da Nang City

Curent image of V6 in Vietnam • 06 Jan, 2009: Establish Vietnam IPv6 task force (IPv6TF) that headed by Deputy Minister of MIC. • 29 Mar, 2011: Under the advice of IPv6TF, Vietnam National action plan on IPv6 was issued by MIC that determine road map to deploy V6 in Vietnam. • Almost all large ISP in Vietnam has issued their own IPv6 Action plan that conform with the National plan. • By the end of 2011, Vietnam leader in the telecom area (Viettel Corp) had complettly finished provide testing ADSL and 3G service on V6.

VNNIC’s role on the way to V6 in VN • Standing vice chairman of Vietnam IPV6TF is Director of VNNIC. • The one who drafted the IPv6 Action Plan. • Maintain the first V6 testing network in Vietnam and now become the National V6 testing Network with 5 native and 2 tunneling connection from domestic ISPs. • Continue to provide some basic V6 testing service for communities in Vietnam: Domestic connection (both native and tunnel), tunnel brocker, voip,…

  12. Vietnam next events on V6 • * 2 day event on V6 that host by VNNIC • When? 31 May and 1 June, 2012 • Where? Ha Noi • Who? ISPs, Government, IT students from domestic / vendor, transit provider, APNIC, IPV6 Forum from oversea. You are all wellcome to participate  • The agenda will be provided soon at www.vnnic.vn • * Participate and encourage Vietnam Communities to join the Wordl IPv6 Launch event on 06 June, 2012 • * Plan to conduct a V6 training course for APNIC.
